Huntington Dog Beach
An Informative Guide to the Huntington Dog Beach
Huntington Dog Beach Park is a great destination for a family vacation. It is a popular destination for those seeking relaxation, entertainment, and adventure as well. There are several restaurants, hotels, and cabins to stay in while you're on your vacation. This park features the best water views in Orange County, California. You can even stay at one of the many vacation rentals available at Huntington Beach. Here are some tips to help make your trip to the park a pleasant one:
There are two parking lots just off of Seapoint Street where Huntington Dog Beach is located. To the immediate right of the front door of the buildings you'll find the restrooms, gift shop, and information tables for your convenience. The restrooms are very close to the beach, making it convenient to utilize if you want to get out and stretch after a swim. The gift shop sells different types of equipment that you might need for your vacation, from sunscreen and clothing to meals and souvenirs.
If you're a dog owner and also enjoy going to the beach then you won't have any problems finding a place to park. Most of the buildings are near the ocean so they feature ground floor offices for the business. The dog beach has a couple of different structures which house water sports equipment. If you're looking for something more active then you might try the huntington dog beach volleyball court which is in a separate building.
Dogs are not allowed to be inside the swimming areas, which is why there are signs posted up regarding this matter. This also means you will need to take your furry friend to the beach and back to get it into the shape that it needs to be in before heading back to city hall or the beaches. There's a couple of rules associated with dogs and the use of the sand, one being that they can only be in the water for no longer then fifteen minutes at a time. After this time the dogs have to find their own sand or they have to find an alternative location.
While dogs are not allowed on the beach there are plenty of other things you can do and dogs love to do them! If you prefer to walk your dog instead of taking it to the beach then you should take your furry friend to the huntington beach walking trail. You can go through the woods and follow the path and have a great adventure. If you aren't a fan of walking your dog through the woods then you can always ride in the car with your dog to the park, a great place for both of you. There's plenty of room to run around and play, and no dogs allowed unless you have a leash.
If you choose to ride in the car then you can easily bring your dog on board and have him or her on the leash all day. You'll find that most of the restaurants and hotels have off-leash areas as well. With the addition of the new hotels going up in the area this year there will even be dog parks located near the hotels so your golden will get to enjoy playing with other dogs as well as other animals. In closing there are plenty of things for you and your dog to do and have a great time at the famous Huntington dog beach. Even if you don't own a dog you can still enjoy yourself and your golden at the same time.
